Bulldog!
Monday, September 19, 2011 (Monday Motivation is formatted for Twitter with posts of 140 characters or less.) When it comes to receiving the promises of God in your life, sometimes you’re going to have to be like a bulldog. #MondayMotivation A bulldog is “A ferocious fighter, when he clamps down on an object, his powerful jaws will literally lock down.” #MondayMotivation “No matter how fierce the fight a bulldog will not let go. In a fight to death his jaws remain clamped on his object.” #MondayMotivation Today, I want to encourage you to hold on to God’s promises like a bulldog. You will win if you don’t give up. (Gal. 6:9) #MondayMotivation What battle are you fighting? Are you standing for healing? A promotion? Restoration? Vindication? Financial Breakthrough? #MondayMotivation Clamp on to what God has promised. Regardless of what comes your way, hold on tight and don’t let go. #MondayMotivation Bulldogs are tenacious. You have to be tenacious in your belief that God will do what He says He will do! #MondayMotivation God is not a man that He should lie (Num. 23:19). People mean well, but they don’t always come through for us. God does! #MondayMotivation God has promised His children life “to the full, till it overflows” (John 10:10 AMP). If He said it, He will perform it! #MondayMotivation If everyone walked out on you or if it feels like no one cares, you still must recognize that you and God are a majority! #MondayMotivation God has a plan for you and He wants to bring His promises to pass in your life. But you must hold on and not give up! #MondayMotivation I want to encourage you that whatever you are going through will end in victory when you believe God like a bulldog! #MondayMotivation Hold on to God’s promises and don’t let go! Thank you for reading #MondayMotivation. Have a great day!
Everyday A Hero
Monday, September 12, 2011 (Monday Motivation is formatted for Twitter. Each post is 140 characters or less.) As I reflect on the events of 9/11/01, I think of the heroic acts of men & women to help others out of harm’s way. #MondayMotivation What does it take to be a hero? Is it simply bravery or courage? Surely those are two characteristics. #MondayMotivation But I believe heroes are present everyday! You can be a hero in someone’s life today. #MondayMotivation To the busy mother in need of relief, you can be a hero if you offer to keep the kids. #MondayMotivation To the elderly man alone in the nursing home, your visit could be perceived as a heroic act in his life. #MondayMotivation You see heroism is just as much about selflessness as it is courage or bravery. #MondayMotivation Heroes selflessly give of their time to help others. Heroes selflessly sacrifice their welfare to assure another’s. #MondayMotivation Today I encourage you to be a hero to someone else. What selfless gesture can you make to give someone else the advantage? #MondayMotivation Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. ~Winston Churchill #MondayMotivation Perhaps you can be a hero by sitting down to listen to someone who needs to be heard. #MondayMotivation A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver five minutes longer. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson #MondayMotivation Perhaps you can be a hero to someone else by simply choosing to “be there” when everyone else has left. #MondayMotivation No matter who you are or what you’ve done in your past, today you can choose to be a hero to someone else. #MondayMotivation You know, heroes are ordinary people that have achieved extraordinary things in life. ~Dave Winfield #MondayMotivation Won’t you do something extraordinary in some one’s life today? #MondayMotivation Thank you for reading #MondayMotivation. Make a difference. Be a hero!
What Do You Bring to the Table?
What Do You Bring to the Table? Monday, August 15, 2011 (Monday Motivation is formatted for Twitter) “What do you bring to the table?” is a question asked in interviews & relationships, but it can be applied to daily life. #MondayMotivation Wherever you go, whether its work, the gym, church, or to hang out with friends, what do you bring to make others better? #MondayMotivation Contribute: to give or supply in common with others; to play a significant part in bringing about an end or result. #MondayMotivation Another way to ask this question is what can you contribute? Are you using what you have to improve others? #MondayMotivation Everyone has something to bring to the table. In a place where people are sad, your smile can be the best thing to add! #MondayMotivation Don’t be the one who comes to the party empty-handed every time or the person at work only to get a paycheck. #Contribute #MondayMotivation In order to contribute, you really just need to be willing. When you have a willing heart, you will always see what’s needed. #MondayMotivation “If you don’t know what you bring to the table, you don’t get a seat there.” -Dan Schawbel, Branding Expert #MondayMotivation Our lives aren’t only about us. We live amongst other people and they need what we have. We need what they have. #MondayMotivation “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7 NIV) #MondayMotivation Sometimes the deficit in your life can be supplied by simply giving of yourself to help someone else. #MondayMotivation The love of God simply says to give. This same love makes sure that when we give, we always receive what we need. #MondayMotivation Whoever has… goods, sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? #MondayMotivation The answer to that question from 1 John 3:17: The love of God doesn’t dwell in that person. Don’t let that be you! #MondayMotivation Today, I encourage you to show God’s love by contributing to others! When you do, God will always take care of you! #MondayMotivation Thank you for reading #MondayMotivation today. Don’t allow the day to go by without bringing something to the table!
